Cameras have been a part of my life as long as I can remember. My parents both had 35mm cameras or disposables to capture every moment and every event. My Dad also had various video cameras as well that I used to make what might barely qualify as short films. That love of photography and storytelling was passed along to me originally through them. Growing up, I had little Fisher Price 110 camera and a few other toy cameras. When I was old enough, my Mom gave me my first real camera, an old Minolta XE5 and a 50mm Rokkor lens, both of which I still have, to learn on and I was off. During my college years in Nashville, I spent my time either photographing or filming friends’ bands and our daily life among other things that I found interesting. A few months after graduation, I moved to Los Angeles, where I pursued further opportunities in not only photography, but film and commercial work as well. After a few years in Los Angeles, some opportunities presented themselves and brought me back to Nashville. Curiosity and a life long love of learning and creative challenges has lead me to work in many different subjects and working within those different areas including advertising, documentary, music/celebrity, fashion and editorial. This love of visual storytelling also brought me to narrative film, documentary, tv, and commercial/advertising as a director and dp/camer op.
